The competition is aimed at independent car dealerships, trading and service companies as well as owner-managed and non-owner-managed independent automotive companies. Evaluation criteria include innovative service ideas, clear processes and excellent customer service.

The award ceremony for the German Workshop Prize will take place on the eve of the Independent Workshops and Service Companies Conference on 10 October 2025 in Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg.
