Cover picture and cover story

The front page draws the reader's attention to the main focus of the issue. The main eye-catcher is the cover motif, which follows the rules of content marketing and visualizes the core message of the corresponding cover article in a way that attracts attention and arouses curiosity.

Performance

  • Cover picture (design) + cover story (incl. highlighted mention in the content)
  • 3-4 display-free pages
  • Also applies to inside cover (design + cover story)

Cover story

  • Each front page includes the cover story - a specialist article in accordance with editorial guidelines in consultation with the editorial team (approx. 8,000-9,000 characters).

Cover design

  • Cover image must not be an advertising motif
  • Logos and company lettering are only displayed as part of the image (e.g. on a product)
  • Cover design in collaboration with editorial team (no delivery of finished cover motifs)
  • At best, the cover image should convey the topic/product with association and emotion
  • Resolution: 300 dpi

Best practice
Content marketing strategy

In the best and recommended case, the cover image consistently follows the content marketing strategy. To increase awareness among the desired target group, advertising information such as logos/company lettering is only displayed on the product.

The aim is to arouse the reader's curiosity through intelligent visualization of the cover product, to draw him into the article via the cover image and to provide him with added value by providing relevant and product-specific content.
